Valentine's Day, you make me feel adrift in a sea of fog. I've never liked February - the cold and the gray skies. My husband and I never made a big deal out of Valentine's Day, but he always gave me a card. A sweet card, something totally unexpected of him, since he was not a romantic type of man. But those cards were such a bright spot in a dreary month.
Since his passing, so many days feel like this photo. Looking at the world through a foggy lens, struggling to see the color and beauty of life. Never quite in focus.
